Its patented floating lugs pivot to follow the wrist, so the watch wears much smaller and more comfortably than its diameter suggests. The dial pairs De Bethune's fire-blued finishing with a hand-engraved, inked sterling silver chapter ring, and a clearly defined seconds track, which is rare for a DB28, gives the deadbeat hand room to show itself.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eInside is the manually wound calibre DB2119, a movement that beats with two rhythms at once. The balance runs at 36,000 vph. A secondary escapement with gold escape wheels drives the seconds hand in exact one-second jumps, the \"deadbeat\" seconds long associated with precision regulators. The tourbillon cage, made from titanium, silicon and white gold, weighs only 0.18 grams and turns once every 30 seconds.
